Bicycling in Africa

Some prefer to travel on a bicycle and definately this is possible in Africa. Though as mentioned above, usually there are very few bicycles on the roads and no designated bicycle paths so setting out on a bicycle on longer journeys can sometimes be a bit risky. When that is said, it is a wonderful way to explore and it will definately spark the local’s attention. Only in the bigger cities you can expect to find bicycles of a good quality. Most places (heavy) Indian bicycles are being the only ones sold, so bring spare parts for everything in case of a break down.
